Second, you need to remove the rings that keep the joint in place. Third, remove the bearing cup so that you can easily pull out the joint. Fourth, put the replacement joint in place.


Secured in place, you can now put the drive shaft back. Ideally, it's better to have an experienced mechanic do all these things for you as he or she would have all the tools required.
